Longworth For Segmented Turning - 6 Buttons (6 Buttons - Use with 6, 12, 18 24, 30, 36 Piece Projects.)

Many Segmented Turners use their Longworth Chuck to perfectly center each ring for gluing. Our standard 8-button configuration will automatically bear equally on segments or 4/8/16/24/32/40/48 pieces as those rings are divisible by 8. 

I recently had a request from a segmenter turner using 12 and 18 segments. Although our normal 8-button system will work, a 6-button system would work even better. The 6-button system is ideal for segments of 6/12/18/24/30/36/42 segments as they are all divisible by 6 allowing a gripper button to fully contact a segment. The 6-button system still has all of the capabilities of the 8-button system in that it can be used to hold a vessel by the rim so you can remove and finish the bottom.

The Doughnut Rings for the 6-button system have been redesigned to accommodate the geometry of the 6-button system. If you already have an 8-button combo system, it is not compatible with the 6-button system.
